Jaime King’s ex claims actress was ‘strained’ and ‘sloppy’ in caring for their children: court documents

Jaime King‘s ex-husband, Kyle Newmanwhich detailed the actress’ “coming out” earlier this month after their children called him for help as part of his plea for a restraining order, In touch can only report.

In touch has obtained the petition filed by Kyle, 48, on October 23 in Los Angeles Superior Court. Kyle and Jaime, 45, married in 2007 and finalized their divorce in 2023.

The exes share two sons: James Knight and Leo Thames.

In his petition, Kyle asked that Jaime be ordered to stay away from him and their children. He demanded sole physical custody of their children, with Jaime allowing supervised visitation. Kyle also asked if Jaime would be ordered to submit to drug and alcohol testing.

If In touch First reported, Kyle wrote in court documents: “The children are currently in danger while in the care of their mother. Jaime King suffers from drug and alcohol addiction and emotionally abuses and neglects our children; putting them in danger and exposing them to many disturbing people and situations, including sexual content. The children beg me to help save them from the chaos in their mother’s house.”

In his filing, he described an incident on Oct. 17, when he claimed to have received a phone call from their sons while they were in Jaime’s care. He said his sons were crying and begging him to pick them up. Kyle said he could hear Jaime’s voice in the background.

“I arrived at Jaime’s house around 7:45 am. I knocked on the door and was greeted by the boys. I went inside and saw Jaime on her knees on the floor, wearing a navy blue and white varsity, her hair was in pigtails and she looked like she wasn’t wearing pants (or maybe shorts). There were two men there.”

Kyle said: “Jaime looked distressed, tense and acted drunk. She motioned for me to come to her because she was trying to get up but couldn’t stand.”

Jaime slurred his words and said, “Those are bad boys. We have to do something about our boys. Their behavior is not right.”

Kyle said he noticed that their sons were wearing the same clothes they wore the day before at school. Kyle said he asked Jaime if she had been drinking. He said she didn’t answer. He said he took the boys and left the house.

He said he took them to school, where one of the sons reported Jaime’s behavior to a therapist.

Kyle claimed that the therapist had called DCFS about Jaime in the past, but no action was taken. Kyle said Jaime’s friend Tony also texted him.

He said Tony told him he was worried about Jaime and that she shouldn’t have the kids around. Kyle said the boys told them that Jaime was partying late with friends. He said as one of the boys tried to call him when Jaime ripped the phone out of his hands.

Kyle said Jaime told their son, “Every word you’ve said since you were born is dangerous.” He claimed she also said: “Everyone in the world will die because of you… especially you.”

In his petition, Kyle also claimed that the boys told him that “Jaime and her friends regularly smoked in the house with the doors and windows closed” while they were present.

“The children repeatedly ask her not to do that and mention the dangers they read about smoking on the American Cancer Society site. One evening in June they opened the door to fresh air. She blew the smoke in both their faces and said ‘that website is propaganda’ and laughed and continued to smoke in the house next to them and closed the door.

In addition, he said one of the sons opened Jaime’s phone and found an adult website with an adult video showing a “pregnant woman and a baby nearby.”

“Jaime apparently told (their son) that she wanted him to ‘come back into her womb and cuddle with her’ so she could be as close to him as possible. He is very disturbed by these comments,” he said.

“Our children are in great danger if Jaime has to resume custody because she continues to control them while they are completely intoxicated, brings strange men to the house and sends them to the boys’ rooms to sleep, and the children are so petrified that they asked to speak to the judge so they wouldn’t have to go back to their mother’s house,” the filing said.

Kyle added: “Jaime loves our children and we want her to get help. However, I cannot force her to get help and cannot allow our children to be in a constant state of danger and abuse due to Jaime’s addiction issues. .”

He continued: ‘Without strong orders, I fear Jaime will continue to game the system – she has been sanctioned twice by two different judges in our family law matter and refuses to follow court orders, such as the judgment requiring her not to do. drunk when the children are in her care.”

The judge has yet to make a ruling. Jaime hasn’t responded yet.

Jaime filed for divorce from Kyle in May 2020. The divorce quickly turned ugly.

Kyle demanded primary custody of their children due to Jaime’s alleged addiction issues. TMZ reported. He claimed that things were so bad that he and her friends staged an intervention.

Kyle said Jaime agreed to go to a rehab center in Utah, but he didn’t stay long. Jaime claimed she agreed to go to the facility to prove she was drug-free. A settlement was reached in September 2023. However, the battle has now started again.
