A man and a woman wanted in connection with a $1.7 million armed robbery of a jewelry store in Nashville, Tennessee, were located in Miami Beach on Sunday.

Miami Beach police announced Monday they were working with Metro Nashville police to arrest Milleni Garcia, 38, and Orlando Valdes Hernandez, 34, in connection with an armed robbery of more than $1.7 million in gold and jewelry .

Police said surveillance video shows the duo and another person entering a Nashville jewelry store, where they briefly browsed before producing firearms and threatening employees. They ended up stealing some valuables before running out of the store, police added.

Garcia and Hernandez were later located at the Grand Beach Hotel at 4835 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, where officers took them into custody.

“I commend my detectives and partners at the Metro Nashville Police Department for their hard work and determination to bring these violent offenders to justice,” said Chief Wayne Jones.

Garcia and Hernandez are now awaiting extradition proceedings, police said.

Police say they are looking for a third suspect in connection with the robbery.
