A West Memphis man pleads guilty to stealing 0 from an ATF agent

Two defendants who planned to enter pleas in the January 2023 theft of $600 from an undercover officer arrived at federal court in Little Rock as scheduled, but only one left after successfully entering a plea, while the other was ordered to return later.

Tyland Mitchell, 23, and Mickarious Oliver, 25, both of West Memphis, were charged in January 2023 along with a third man, 22-year-old Demarious Bonds, also of West Memphis, for stealing $600 from an undercover officer at under the pretext of selling him an AR-15 rifle.

Oliver and Bonds were indicted on March 7, 2023, on federal charges of assaulting, resisting, or obstructing a United States officer and aiding and abetting; brandishing a firearm in connection with a violent crime and complicity; and assault with intent to steal money from the United States.
