Keith Morrison believed his stepson, Matthew Perrywas sober at the time of his death and warned the Friends Star’s drug suppliers that their family would get justice.

“It seemed to us like he was (sober),” Keith, 77, said Savannah Guthrie as he appeared on the monday, october 28, episode of Todayto mark the one-year anniversary of Matthew’s death.

However, Matthew’s mother, Suzanne Morrisonshook her head to indicate she disagreed. “Not for you?” Keith asked Suzanne. “It certainly seemed that way to me.”

“Although he had been treated with ketamine, it had not become something he had no control over,” Keith added. “Although he was a man who made decisions. ‘I can handle this. I can do this. I can tell you what’s good. I know the entire system inside and out. I know what the medicine will do to me.’ So there was the concern (of like), ‘What is he really doing?’

Matthew died on October 28, 2023 at the age of 54. He was found unresponsive in the hot tub of his Pacific Palisades home after apparently drowning. While he received ketamine infusion therapy to treat anxiety and depression, his last treatment was a week and a half before he died.

An investigation was launched into Matthew’s sudden death, and it was determined that the ketamine he took was not legally prescribed by a doctor. In August, Dr. Mark Chavez, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, Erik Vlaming, Kenneth Iwamasa and “Ketamine Queen” Javeen Sangha were arrested for their suspected involvement at the death of Matthew.

Chavez, 54, Iwamasa, 59, and Fleming, 54, have all pleaded guilty, while Sangha, 41, and Plasencia, 42, have both pleaded not guilty.

Keith also spoke about the upcoming trials of the people accused of supplying Matthew with the fatal drugs during his family’s joint appearance Today.

‘What I hope, and I think the agencies that have been involved in this, hope is that people who have put themselves in the business by supplying people with the drugs that will kill them are now aware. It doesn’t matter what your professional qualifications are,” he said. “You’re going down, baby.”

Keith made the comments shortly after he and his daughter: Caitlin Morrison, thought about Matthew’s death while you speak HELLO! Canada. He said his deceased stepson “I would like to be remembered because they did something to help people with addiction.”

Meanwhile, Caitlin, 43, revealed how her work as executive director of the Matthew Perry Foundation of Canada helped her stay close to her brother. “I have the treasure of being able to keep him very, very close to my life all the time, which is wonderful,” she said.

She added that her work at the foundation makes her feel “like I am sitting next to Matthew and working with him every day on something that was important to him.”

“The Matthew Perry Foundation was created to honor Matthew Perry’s profound legacy and unwavering commitment to helping others struggling with the disease of addiction,” said the website.
