The Ukrainian army receives 65 ambulances from NATO

NATO donated more than 65 ambulances to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on October 29 as part of the Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP) for Ukraine.

Quote: “In response to Ukraine’s urgent request, NATO has donated 65 ambulances to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The vehicles were donated under the Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine.”

Details: The CAP for Ukraine was updated at the Madrid Summit in 2022. Later, at the Vilnius Summit in July 2023, NATO members agreed on a multi-year assistance program for Ukraine to meet its short-, medium- and long-term needs .

At the 2024 Washington Summit, the Alliance committed to providing long-term security support to Ukraine.

Background: On October 25, it was reported that Slovakia sent 18 ambulances to Ukrainian medical teams.
