Four teens charged in an ambush robbery that left a Tri-Cities man beaten and stabbed

Four teenagers are accused of stabbing and seriously assaulting a man during an ambush robbery for some marijuana vape cartridges near Pasco High School in early October.

The victim suffered serious head injuries, a stab wound, a broken arm and other injuries, according to court documents.

Issaiah G. Parada, Santiago McMaster, Alenjandro Gonzalez and Miguel Vasquez, all 18, allegedly lured the man to a Henry Street address on October 7.

Parada, Gonzalez and Vasquez are all charged with first-degree theft in Franklin County Superior Court. McMaster has been facing the same charges in Benton-Franklin Juvenile Court since he was 17 at the time.

Parada is charged with second-degree assault.

Three of them, Parada, McMaster and Gonzalez, are in jail with their bail amounts to $50,000 each.

A nationwide $50,000 arrest warrant was issued for Vasquez.

The Oct. 7 incident began with a SnapChat message exchange between Parada and the victim about smoking marijuana, according to court documents.

The two were classmates at Columbia Basin College High School Academy. This program allows older students to obtain their high school diploma.

Parada told him to meet him outside At home across the street from Pasco High School, according to court documents.

The victim and another man parked near the back parking lot of the high school and brought 11 people with them THC cartridges for vape pens.

He saw Parada approaching and was then attacked by about six people, court documents show. The other man was taken from the car and held at gunpoint during the assault. It is unclear whether the police are looking for more suspects in this case.

The injured man was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

Police followed Parada to his girlfriend’s home in the 1900 block of North Seventh Avenue on Oct. 17. He eventually surrendered to the Tri-Cities Regional SWAT team.

He later told investigators he planned to buy the cartridges, but then a fight broke out and he thought he was being robbed, according to court documents.
