RCMP are looking for two people after a robbery in Whitewood, Sask. in which a man was run over with his own vehicle that had been stolen.

Monday evening around 11:45 a.m., according to RCMP, a call was made to a business in Whitewood for the report of a robbery.

“Investigations showed that someone was parked outside the company. An adult male approached the victim, used bear spray on him and then physically forced him out of the vehicle. The suspect then stole the car and beat the victim with it as he fled. The victim, an adult male, was taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature,” a news release said.

RCMP said they found the vehicle on the Cowessess First Nation but were unable to stop it.

Police said the car later came to a stop and four occupants fled on foot.

Two have been located and no charges have been laid against them at this time, RCMP said.

Officers are still looking for a fourth occupant of the stolen vehicle and a robbery suspect, described as 25 to 30 years old and approximately 6 feet tall.

RCMP said he was last seen wearing a white and gray hoodie and sweatpants.

Police are asking residents not to approach the suspect if they see him and to report any sightings to Broadview RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
