NYPD: Individual wanted for questioning in connection with attempted armed robbery of SI home

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying a person wanted in connection with an attempted gun robbery that allegedly occurred at a Sunnyside home.

Police were told that on Friday, October 18, around 5 a.m., two unidentified individuals allegedly entered a residence, with one of them brandishing a firearm, in the area of ​​Victory Boulevard and Clove Road.

After a struggle with a 36-year-old man who was inside the home, the individuals fled the location on foot heading north on Victory Boulevard, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention. A 67-year-old woman was also in the home at the time of the incident but was not injured, according to a spokesperson for the NYPD’s deputy commissioner of public information.

The NYPD has released a sketch of one of the people being questioned in the case.
