A DC restaurant worker is held at gunpoint while an armed robber steals cash

WASHINGTON, DC – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect involved in an armed robbery of a restaurant in Southeast Washington, DC, on October 12. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue around 2:51 p.m

According to police reports, the suspect entered the establishment, approached an employee, threatened him with a gun and demanded cash from the register. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled.

Surveillance footage in the area captured images of the individual, which authorities are reviewing in hopes of identifying the suspect. Police have not yet released details about the suspect’s description or whether additional images have provided further clues.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case, part of an effort to curb violent crime in the District.
