Mass State Lottery Winner: 2  million tickets sold in supermarkets

On Tuesday, two lottery players were given some food for thought when they each claimed $1 million in prize money from tickets they purchased at grocery stores in Massachusetts.

One of the $1 million prizes was from “$4,000,000 Platinum Jackpot”, a $10 game, released on January 10, 2023. There is still a $4 million top prize and a $1 million prize to claim as of October 30.

The winning ticket was sold at a Roche Bros. supermarket in Bridgewater.

The other $1 million prize claimed on Tuesday came from the “$4,000,000 Bonus Lootgame. The $10 game was released on August 1, 2023 and still has two $4 million top prizes and three $1 million prizes available to claim starting October 30.

That $1 million ticket was sold in Charlestown at the Newton Food Shop.

In total, at least 523 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Tuesday, including 10 in Springfield, 18 in Worcester and 66 in Boston.

The Massachusetts State Lottery gives a full release list win tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.

So far the largest lottery prize won in Massachusetts this yearwas worth $1 million a year for life.

The prize came from the lottery “Millions for lifeScratch card game. The winner claimed his prize through a trust on July 10 and opted to receive a one-time payment of $15.4 million.
