‘Wheel of Fortune’ Player Wins 0,000 After Snafu Gives Fans ‘a Heart Attack’ (VIDEO)

A Wheel of Fortune participant has achieved the second confetti-following victory of the Ryan Seacrest era, and the equally rare feat of scaring the fans first.

In the Monday, October 28 episode, Brent, a career BBQ chef from Pocahontas, Arkansas, tackled several impressive solutions. He advanced to the coveted bonus round with $20,700 in cash, a prize trip to St. Lucia and the outsized support of his adoring parents.

Fittingly, he chose ‘Food and Drink’, took center stage in Seacrest and chose the additional letters ‘G, C, P, O’. The three-word puzzle read: ‘_OT ‘_ _ _ GE’ ‘TOPP_NG’ and Seacrest noted, against his expectations, ‘Not bad!’

While the answer came immediately to many viewers, as was made clear on social media, it did not reach Brent. When the 10 second timer started, Brent looked perplexed and guessed, “Um, ‘Hot Large topping?’.” It was very clear that he initially did not know the answer to the puzzle at his fingertips, which created one of the practical solutions in memory.

With just four seconds left, it occurred to him: “Hot Fudge Topping,” he declared.

Seacrest ruled he was right and revealed that the gold prize tag contained the elusive $100,000. An explosion of confetti followed as an over-the-moon Brent hugged his parents and the iconic Vanna White. “You did it!” Seacrest exclaimed as his grand total was shown: a sky-high $120,704.

The game show shared the big win on YouTube, where fans in the comments section were overjoyed, but also admitted they had gone through an emotional rollercoaster as they couldn’t remember how close to a jackpot win it was.

“I was worried for a moment,” was the top comment.

“Me too! That was a great win!!!” replied another fan.

“What a great way to start this week and it literally gave me a heart attack!” admitted a third.
