Slitterhead describes more characters, combat skills, SPEU, systems and Splitterheads

Check out the details below.

■ Characters

Blake

The commander of “SPEU”, organized to counter the threat of the Slitterheads. An elite with experience in the Marines, he makes decisive and sometimes ruthless judgments to achieve his objectives.

Betty

An older, wealthy woman who lives in a mansion with a panoramic view of the city from the hill. She suffers from leg disorders and always carries a walking stick with her, a memento of her late husband. It seems like she has been waiting for Hyoki to come before her and greet him with enigmatic messages.

Lisa

Lisa comes from a troubled past and is the only nurse who works in Alex’s illegal clinic. She knows that Alex disappears into the night hunting for Slitterheads, and she worries about him.

■ Blake skills

Bloody Shot (Active)

Generates a machine gun from blood to attack the enemy. While holding the skill button allows continuous firing, it will greatly reduce your blood level.

Bloody Mine (active)

Turns pools of blood into landmines within a certain area. When enemies step on it, it will explode and deal critical damage.

Bloody gamble (common)

Attack the enemy with a gun full of blood. Hold down the Skill button for continuous fire. Although each shot increases in power, if your luck runs out it can misfire and damage you.

■ Betty skills

Indomitable (active)

Temporarily significantly increases Betty’s defenses and makes her harder to stun. Damage bonus for hitting an enemy during an attack.

Devils (active)

Turns pools of blood into blades within a certain area for her to damage enemies. Damage increases if multiple enemies are hit at the same time.

Lunatic (general)

Plant thoughts in the host to continuously attack nearby enemies. Even if possession is withdrawn, attacks will continue until the effect ends.

■ SPEU

‘SPEU’ was formed in response to the growing threat of the Slitterheads. While their primary focus is on exterminating these creatures, their mission has expanded to include unknown threats, meaning people who appear ‘possessed’ are also on their blacklist.

Some members have shields that can almost completely nullify frontal attacks, as well as personnel that can temporarily seal blood weapons that are created and skills that are used. They are a formidable opponent against Hyoki.

■ Memory fragments

During exploration, ‘memory fragments’ can be found. Lost memories or objectives will return, and some skills can even be regained.

■ Shrines

‘Shrines’ are placed at locations throughout the city. It’s up to you to take up the challenge. Although the enemies within are formidable, you will receive items if you overcome the trials. You can see if there is a shrine in a mission from the Mission Menu, so bring your most reliable Rarities.

■ Change costumes

You can trade Rarities’ costume and mask in the pause menu. Although you can collect these throughout the game, it will be difficult to get them all.

■ The overwhelming power of cutting heads

In the shadows and hustle and bustle of Kowlong lurks the enigmatic creature known as the Slitterhead, monstrous creatures that prey on human brains. In contrast, the spiritual entity known as Hyoki exists solely to eliminate every Slitterhead. As the battle unfolds, secrets about this world will be revealed, weaving the fates of both people and creatures together in a story that gradually reveals the complexity of humanity itself.

Slitterheads are mysterious creatures that lurk in Kowlong and pose a threat to civilization. After eating a human brain, they mimic the head and animate the corpse to disguise themselves as humans.

When hunting humans, they adopt a ‘chrysalis’ form, replacing the human head with a grotesque face, with tentacles extending to target the brains of their prey. Slitterheads acquire memory and genetic information from the human brain, allowing them to imitate personalities. Each Slitterhead’s behavior varies, ranging from aimlessly wandering the streets to manipulating people at the core of large organizations.

— Doll shape

When the human body they inhabit is damaged, they switch to the body of a new victim. However, they cannot operate independently or away from a host for extended periods of time.

When they sense danger, they absorb the host’s bodily fluids to grow into a ‘complete form’, exposing their true nature and greatly increasing their power. They have integrated genes from various mimetic organisms, including insects, fish and mollusks, resulting in a wide range of appearances. Although they mainly adopt a praying mantis-like posture, they can change their shape based on the situation, standing upright on two legs or climbing through holes like a spider.
