Georgia Football Availability Report: Eight players listed for the Florida game

Georgia football official availability report for Saturday 3:30 PM game against Florida has been released by the SEC.

This is Georgia’s sixth game week under the conference’s new reporting policy.

The SEC publishes daily reports on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and another 90 minutes before kickoff on game day.

Georgia has eight players listed in this week’s report.

That includes two defensive backs ejected from the win over Texas in the second half for targeting. As a result, safety Dan Jackson and star nickel Joenel Aguero will sit out the first half against Florida.

Teams can appeal through the conference to the NCAA national coordinator of football officials, but both are listed as out for the first half. Georgia coach Kirby Smart indicated an appeal was pending but declined to comment further Monday.

“I’m not really worried about it,” Smart said. “It is what it is right now. Our guys are trying to get ready for Florida, and we’re going to get ready to play Florida.”

Offensive right guard Tate Ratledge could return Saturday after missing four games following TightRope surgery for a sprained left ankle suffered during a 13-12 win against Kentucky on Sept. 14. Defensive lineman Jordan Hall (legs) also has yet to play this season.

Here’s an overview of Georgia’s position in the report. The SEC does not specify why a player is on the list, but injuries have been reported before.

This list will be updated in the days leading up to kick-off.

Smart spoke about Ratledge and Hall after practice on Tuesday.

“Both are up in terms of reps,” he said. “Tate took quite a bit of it yesterday. I don’t know how many he took today, but I know it was more than yesterday. He’s getting more available, but we’re trying to be smart about his volume. And Jordan is ready .He still has moments where it bothers him, but I thought yesterday was Jordan’s best day yet.

Hall, a 6-foot-1, 320-pound sophomore, has not played yet this season after suffering stress fractures to the tibia in both legs. He had ten tackles last season.
