Ethan Slater is breaking his silence about his relationship with Ariana Grande

Ethan Slater opens up about it his romance with Ariana Grande.

Slater, 32, stars in the upcoming film with Grande “Bad” film, which stars Boq alongside Grande’s Glinda. He says it wasn’t easy getting into a relationship that so many people follow.

“It was obviously a very big year and I think there was something very difficult about having things in your private life commented on and viewed by the public,” he says. told GQ.

“There were a lot of big changes in private lives that actually happened, so it’s very difficult to have people who don’t know anything about what’s happening comment and speculate and then get things wrong about the people you love. So to address that part of it, it feels very difficult.

Slater and his ex-wife, Lilly Jay, have a son, 2. He filed for divorce in July 2023, amid rumors that he dating Grandewho had split from her now ex-husband, Dalton Gomez.

Despite the criticism, Slater, a Tony Award-nominated actor for his role in Broadway’s “SpongeBob SquarePants” musical, is thrilled with the state of play as “Wicked” prepares to be unleashed on moviegoers.

“But obviously it’s been a great year and a really beautiful thing, and I’m just really excited. I’m just really proud of Ari and the work she’s done on this. She threw herself into it,” he said.

“I’m very proud that I got to be there for that part of it, and I’m very excited to be there for this next step, when the world gets to see what an amazing thing she did.”

Slater also played coy when asked if Grande’s song “Imperfect for You” was about him, as some fans have suggested.

“She’s such a great artist, and I think everyone knows how good an artist she is and all that – but I’m just really impressed with the songwriting. I love that song,” he said.

Grande, for her part, shot down the relationship with them has been observed by others.

“The most disappointing thing was to see so many people believing the worst version of it,” she says told Vanity Fair in September. “There can be no less accurate representation of a human being than the one the tabloids spread about him…”

“No one on this earth goes out of their way or goes out of their way to be there for the people they love and care about. There is no one on this earth with a better heart, and that is something that no tabloid can rewrite in real life,” she added.
