Trump and Harris go after each other’s economic plans at swing state rallies

I’m here at Donald Trump’s rally in Duluth, Georgia, where excitement is high.

Although the rally did not start until 19:00 EDT (00:00 BST), the arena’s car park was full by 13:00 EDT (18:00 BST). The atmosphere of an open-air concert is created as fans pass through a long queue to get inside.

Joy Kohli, who lives in Buford, Georgia, told me she’d like to see a return to the Trump years.

He says the economy is better under Trump and that he has supported Republicans since he was a child. He brought his family with him, including his son Ranveer.

“We are waiting. We are ready for change,” says Kohli. “We made the change. It was rolled back, so now we’re ready for it to be done.”

Ranveer, 20, is voting in his first election and tells me he plans to vote for Trump.

“I want to be honest with you, the way he talks is not very good,” says Ranveer.

“I’ll say this too, but his policies, you know, the way the economy has developed, the direction of the country, world peace… I think I’ve really enjoyed having that.”
