Austin police are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect in an armed robbery that occurred Monday.

According to a news release Thursday, Austin police were dispatched to a business in the 1400 block of 14th Street NW on a report of an armed robbery around 7 p.m.

The suspect was described as a man in his early 20s, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin to medium build. He was wearing a black Reebok hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants and black shoes.

According to the affidavit, the suspect displayed a gun and demanded money from the store clerk. He was last seen traveling southbound on 14th Street NW with food with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured and the case remains under investigation, according to the release. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Austin police at 1-507-437-9405.
