The original Nuketown returns to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 this Friday

Fans of the classic Call of Duty: Black Ops map Nuketownset at a small nuclear test site in Nevada, a graphically updated version can be played in Black Ops 6 from November 1.

Activision and the Black Ops 6 studio Treyarch have announced that the multiplayer map, which was inspired by a scene in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and which always ends with a nuclear explosion, is part of the content drops a week after release. A video trailer is out for the card showing the enhanced visuals (and the explosion at the end of the match). The map was also previously seen in Call of Duty: Online and Call of Duty: Mobile.

The other big drop, which is already available, is infected mode. In it, one player is randomly assigned as infected and must eliminate other players and bring them to their side. A big change from previous games, the studio says, is that this one features Omnimovementwhich allows players to dive and run in all directions.

BlackOps6, announced in May, was released on October 25 and is set in 1991, after a group of rogue agents track down a secret force called Pantheon. It is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC and is also part of Microsoft’s Game Pass service.

In its post about Nuketown and Infected mode, Activision also teased Season 1, the battle will disappear on November 14th. It includes new multiplayer maps and modes, a new seasonal Zombies map, and improvements to Call of Duty: Warzone’s Battle Royale mode. Those improvements include Omnimovement and new weapons and equipment features, the post said. Activition says more Season 1 news will be available on its website Call of Duty Blog.
