SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – As the high school softball state playoffs heat up, many area schools are still in the mix and vying for a title.

Savannah Christian beat Lovett 14-2, 12-0

Golgotha Day fell to Mount Vernon 4-0, 7-1

Class 5A:

South Effingham defeated Thomas County Central 6-3, 6-3

Effingham County split with Loganville 11-10 (L), 6-4 (EC)

Class 3A:

Southeast Bulloch leaves with Mary Persons 10-3 (SEB), 7-4 (MP)

Class 1A Division I:

Toombs County defeated Heard County 7-2, 8-4

Vidalia lost to Bank County 11-3, 3-2
