22-year-old man shot multiple times in DC

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a 22-year-old man in Southeast D.C. Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to the 4200 block of Southeast 6th Avenue around 4:09 p.m. yesterday after receiving a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Asonta Dunmore, of Southeast DC, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Dunmore was pronounced dead at the scene.
