Sai Pallavi on Bollywood PR ecosystem: Why should people keep talking about me?

Sai Pallavi, who first rose to fame with the 2015 Malayalam film Premam, in a recent conversation, explained that she does not believe in hiring a PR agency to promote herself. Pallavi recounted: “A man from Bollywood came and said PR agencies here can provide support your visibility and ‘are you interested in this?’ we asked. “I didn’t understand the concept initially and asked him why it was necessary.”

He added: “I give interviews whenever one of my films is released. Why would I need this from now on? What is the need to elevate me?” When asked if this will help him make more movies, the representative said that even if no movies are released, people will continue to talk about him.”

However, Pallavi was not convinced and expressed her thoughts on the matter. “For me it felt like the opposite. If people talk about us all the time, won’t they get bored of us?” he asked, adding: “If I don’t understand something, I don’t get into it. “If this works for some people, that’s great for them.”

As for the film’s cast, Sai Pallavi was last seen in the Telugu film Virata Parvam (2022), where she was widely praised for her portrayal of Vennela, a young woman caught in the middle of a revolutionary conflict. He will next be seen in director Rajkumar Periasami’s Amaran, a biopic on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan. The movie will be in theaters on October 31.

After Amaran, it was recently confirmed by Yash that Pallavi will be portraying the revered character of Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious adaptation of Ramayana. He joins a star-studded cast that includes Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Yash as Ravana, making it one of the most anticipated projects in Hindi cinema.
