Macomb County man charged with child exploitation after overdosing on a 30-year-old woman

Ronald Kevin Hill, 36, of Macomb County, has been charged with two counts of drug sales resulting in death and possession of child sexual abuse material.

Court documents revealed on Friday, November 17, 2023, a 30-year-old woman overdosed in Clinton Township near Clinton River and Romeo Plank.

After an extensive investigation by Clinton Township police, it was determined that Hill allegedly sold the woman drugs that led to her death.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office received a warrant request on Tuesday (October 29), which was approved the same day.

The 36-year-old man was charged with delivery of a controlled substance causing death, a capital offense, and delivery of fentanyl less than 50 grams, a 20-year felony.

On Thursday, October 31, 2024, Hill was arraigned in the 41B Clinton Township District Court, where a $50,000 personal bond was set.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 9:30 AM

Hill was allegedly arrested by Clinton Township police officers on an authorized warrant on October 29, where they found cocaine on him.

After further investigation, Clinton Township officers discovered child sexual abuse material on his phone.

On Thursday, October 31, 2024, another warrant was filed with the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office and was approved the same day.

The 36-year-old man was charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexual abuse material, a 10-year felony, and delivery of a controlled substance less than 50 grams, a 20-year felony.

On Friday, November 1, 2024, Hill was arraigned in Shelby District Court, where the court set bail at just $500,000 cash/surety.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. via Zoom, and a preliminary exam is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
