Pokémon TCG Pocket reaches record launch

Pokemon TCG Pocket appears to be the overnight success that Pokémon Company and its partners were hoping for, as the game is already closing in on a pair of mobile gaming records just days after launch.

Within the first two days of its worldwide release, Pokémon TCG Pocket achieved success more than 10 million downloads– proving that it is already one of the best mobile games on the market right now. But that’s just the beginning of the successful launch.

This was reported by the mobile market analysis group Sensor Tower, via reporter Stephen Totilo’s game fileWhen TCG Pocket launched worldwide, 1.2 million players downloaded the game and generated an estimated first-day revenue of $1.9 million. This preliminary data would catapult TCG Pocket to the third-largest mobile release of all time based on revenue, although we won’t know for sure because The Pokémon Company doesn’t release this information publicly.

Sensor Tower analyst Sam Aune noted via Game File that a big launch isn’t “necessarily 1:1 correlated with mega-success,” pointing to mega-hits like Monopoly Go, Royal Match and Honor of Kings growing into incredible ones over time results. numbers instead of explosive launches.

Despite Aune’s warning that this data is preliminary and not confirmed by TPC, Sensor Tower also estimates that the game generated $2.8 million in revenue on day two.
