Several pets rescued from fire in Wisconsin neighborhood

JACKSON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say they rescued several pets after a house fire early Sunday morning in Wisconsin.

According to a release from the Jackson Fire Department, crews responded to a home in the Green Valley Manufactured Homes subdivision at 1:13 a.m. for a report of a fire.

The services that arrived at the scene stated that they saw the roof of the house on fire and immediately started to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters then entered the home and were able to rescue several pets while continuing to check for additional fire in the attic.

There was one resident in the house at the time of the fire and he was able to leave the building safely, but there was moderate damage to the interior of the house.

Authorities say crews worked on site for about two hours and determined that the cause of the fire was unintentional.

No additional information is available at this time and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
