A manhunt is underway after a suspect holds a woman hostage and escapes from police custody

GRAMBLING, La. (KNOE) – The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office is conducting a manhunt after being involved in a fight earlier today.

At approximately 11:00 a.m., LPSO received reports of a man named Delano Owens holding a woman hostage.

Authorities said it was unclear what Owens’ motive was. The woman was later released and Grambling police arrested Owens, but he escaped custody shortly after 4 p.m.

LPSO said Owens is wanted for various violent crimes. They believe he may have traveled to Bossier City and are working with law enforcement there to find him.
