Barack Obama only had one chance to catch up with Eminem – and he didn’t waste that opportunity. When the rapper introduced the former president at a rally in Detroit for Kamala Harris on October 22, Obama was extremely impressed. “I have to admit, I’ve gone to a lot of rallies, so I don’t usually get nervous,” Obama said, “but in some ways I felt like I was following Eminem.” Then 44 started rapping (okay, maybe to put it bluntly at the beginning) Eminem’s hit “Lose Yourself” to the cheers of the audience. “I thought Eminem was going to perform, I felt like jumping out!” he added. “Baby, love me some Eminem.” Em, for his part, took the matter quite seriously, saying that Vice President Harris would protect free speech. Including, apparently, the right to lose yourself in music.
