Authorities in York Region hope to reunite burglary victims with jewelry and other stolen property after six people were arrested last week.

York Regional Police said three people from Vaughan and three from Toronto were taken into custody following the investigation, dubbed Project Black and Blue.

Police allege four people committed a burglary in the area of ​​Pine Valley Dr. and Hwy. 7, in Vaughan, just before 10 a.m. on October 18.

A short time later, the same group allegedly committed a second burglary near Langstaff Rd. and Valeria Blvd.

Police said that at around 12.40pm a group of suspects were located by officers from the Integrated Property Crime Task Force and they were arrested.

After obtaining five search warrants, officers took two more suspects into custody, police said.

Among the clothing, jewelry and valuables seized were watches, rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, wallets, handbags and designer sunglasses.

Because of the amount of property recovered, investigators believe there are additional victims who have not yet contacted police and are trying to identify them so the stolen items can be returned, police said.

The authorities have one online photo gallery of the stolen goods that have not yet been claimed.

Investigators are asking anyone who was a victim of a home invasion between May and October to review the photos and contact police if any of the items belong to them. Police said there will be a process to verify ownership before property is returned.

Levan Kabidze, 35, Grigoli Bibilashvili, 35, and Irakli Ivanov, 31, all of Toronto, and Aznori Charigodishvili, 37, Avtandil Tsiklauri, 36, and Elizbari Tsintsatdze, 32, of Vaughan, have been charged with multiple counts of burglary. – enter the commit.

Tsiklauri is also charged with burglary with intent.

At the time of the arrests, police said Bibilashvili, Charigodishvili and Ivanov were out on bail for unrelated burglary crimes.
