Drugs and weapons seized in Healdsburg

A search of an east Healdsburg home that uncovered drugs and firearms led to the arrest of a 68-year-old man, Healdsburg police said.

The Thursday morning incident occurred when a search warrant was served at the home as part of an ongoing drug sales investigation, according to a news release.

During the search, police discovered two revolvers, ammunition, multiple bags of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine, and packaging and retail paraphernalia, including a “significant amount of clear, individual plastic bags,” according to the news release.

Kerry Bergman of Healdsburg was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance while armed with a firearm; possession of a controlled substance for sale; being a felon in possession of a firearm; and being a person prohibited from owning or possessing ammunition, the news release said.
