Suspect who restrained and Tasered elderly man during armed robbery in Barron County gets 12 years in prison

A man charged in connection with a violent robbery in Barron County in December 2023 received a 20-year sentence, including 12 years in prison.

After his time behind bars, 40-year-old Ricardo Antonio Dominguez will serve eight years of supervised release, court records show.

As previously reportedDominguez and Ryan Charpentier entered the victim’s home, pointed guns at him and held him down with zip ties and rope. The two then stole more than $13,000 in cash, a handgun, $250 in jewelry, a $250 pocket watch and a weather station from a safe.

The men also stole several other weapons from a second safe.

At one point, the men tasered the victim in the face.

Charpentier was sentenced to five years in prison.
