1 of 2 home invasion suspects in Barron County is convicted

BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – One of two suspects charged in a Barron County home invasion has been convicted.

Court records show 40-year-old Ricardo Dominguez of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota was sentenced to 12 years in prison and 8 months of extended supervision.

In July 2024, Dominguez pleaded guilty to a charge of armed robbery, enhanced sentence for elderly victims.

Dominguez and Ryan Charpentier of Little Canada, Minnesota are accused of tying up an elderly person and stealing money from their home on December 19, 2023.

The home invasion occurred near East River Avenue and Highway 25 in the town of Barron.
