Man taken to hospital after ‘firearm discharged’ at property in Glasgow

A man has been taken to hospital after a gun was reportedly discharged inside a property.

Emergency services, including armed officers, were called to the Drumoyne Road area of ​​Glasgow at around 4pm on Friday, October 25, after receiving reports of the incident.

A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police Scotland believe there is no wider danger to the public, but people are urged to avoid the area.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “Officers remain in the Drumoyne Road area of ​​Glasgow after receiving a report of a firearm being discharged inside a property at around 4pm.

“Armed police were initially on the scene but have now withdrawn.

“A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening.

“There is not believed to be an increased risk to the public, but people are advised to avoid the area while investigations continue.”
