Masked duo steal delivery man’s car during overnight robbery in Launceston

A delivery driver has been left shaken after two young men, one armed with a knife, stole his vehicle in Launceston overnight.

The incident happened on Abbott Street in East Launceston at around 11pm on Friday.

Police said the pair approached the male driver while he was working for a food delivery service.

The perpetrators, both described as wearing dark clothing and face masks, then stole the delivery driver’s black Honda Jazz.

One of the young men was reportedly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black face mask with a design on the front.

The stolen vehicle has now been located.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could assist in the investigation into the two to come forward.
