Israel targets Hezbollah weapons sites with nighttime attacks; Hezbollah fires rockets at Israeli military base

The Israeli Air Force reportedly carried out targeted nighttime attacks on facilities linked to Hezbollah in Dahiyeh on Sunday (October 27). These attacks are said to target Hezbollah’s weapons production and maintenance facilities, as well as a weapons depot.

“During the night, Air Force fighter jets, under the close intelligence guidance of the Intelligence Department, attacked Dahiya in the capitals for the production and maintenance of weapons and a weapons warehouse of the terrorist organization Hezbollah,” the Israeli Air Force said. announced on X.

The air force added: “During the last day, air force fighter jets led by the Northern Command eliminated about 70 terrorists. They have attacked more than 120 terrorist targets of the terrorist organization Hezbollah. Air Force fighter jets hit military infrastructure. used by Hezbollah’s air unit (127) and the unit’s terrorist squad in southern Lebanon.

On the other hand, Hezbollah claimed on Sunday to have launched rockets at an Israeli military base in northern Israel. This came after the group declared several areas in northern Israel “legitimate targets” due to the presence of Israeli forces.

According to Hezbollah, a “military industry base north of Haifa” was targeted by “a large rocket salvo” following an advance evacuation notice for parts of northern Israel issued on Saturday.

In addition, a Hezbollah drone reportedly struck a factory in the Bar Lev industrial zone near Acre in northern Israel, injuring two people. The factory, owned by BAZ Aviation Components, produces metal parts for both civil and military aerospace applications.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the drone incident and said: “After the sirens sounded in the Western Galilee area, a UAV was identified crossing Israeli territory from Lebanon. The UAV fell in the Bar-Lev area industrial area. The incident is under assessment.”
