Bucs’ Baker Mayfield connects with tight end for TD vs. Falcons

Bucs’ Baker Mayfield connects with tight end for TD vs. Falcons

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are staring at a chance to beat the Atlanta Falcons for revenge after a brutal overtime loss earlier this season. They also do this in style, wearing their retro creamsicle sweaters.

The first drive didn’t look too good, however, as Rachaad White fumbled and the Falcons took advantage by capitalizing with a Kyle Pitts touchdown.

On the second drive, Baker Mayfield led the team down the field and connected with Cade Otton in the end zone.

The question, with both star wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin out after suffering injuries a week ago, would be who Mayfield would target in the red zone. With his two top targets out, it was Oton, the team’s tight end.

So far, both teams’ tight ends have found the end zone on National Tight Ends Day.

Going forward, ball security and whether Mayfield can continue to connect with new primary targets will determine how the game plays out for Tampa Bay.
