Around the same time, police said a large group of “disorderly” teens were near the Navy Yard. Out of an abundance of caution, the New Jersey entrance was closed to maintain order at the Navy Yard Station.

The entrance reopened about 30 minutes later, after the crowd had cleared. The police do not want to say that the incidents are related.

MTPD encourages anyone with information about the shooting to call 202-962-2121.
