Memorial Marketplace moves along | Quinte News

Work continues on the former Memorial Arena site in downtown Belleville.

The second tenant, Cracked Glass Design, is now open and several other building facades are nearing completion.

Memorial Marketplace co-owner Hilary Murphy says they use much of the old building infrastructure to combine a modern look with the building’s unique heritage.

“There are some things that make sense and some things that don’t. We maintain the exterior and shell of the building and the entire infrastructure from the inside.”

She says the exact completion date of the project has not yet been determined.

Murphy says they have adapted their concept of the site as time goes on.
