Armed man taken into custody after barricade in East Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man who threatened family members with a knife was taken into custody Monday morning.

Las Vegas police responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 1400 block of North Sandhill Road. This is near Lamb and Washington Avenue.

Officers responded around 8:04 a.m. A man threatened family members with a knife and refused to leave the home.

According to police, the scene turned into a barricade.

SWAT and crisis negotiators responded and successfully took the man into custody.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
