Here’s one big dining change Carnival cruisers want to see

Carnival Brand Ambassador John Heald recently took to Facebook to comment on the most popular menu items that cruisers wanted the cruise line to add to the dinner menu each night.

To be sure, there are a few signature items that Are available every evening in the main dining room, such as the popular chocolate melt cake. But for the most part, the menus change every night of a cruise. And with the menu overhaul about a year ago, which added menu items curated by Emeril Lagasse, certain daily selections were removed to make room.

However, in addition to the chocolate melting cake, there are also a number of items that are available every evening. A Caesar salad is an example of this, and there is also a roasted sirloin steak.

In addition, there are various premium products (fees apply), such as premium steakhouse meals, which are available every evening, as well as various alternative dessert products such as ice cream and cheese platters. To cater to the not-so-adventurous palates of most kids, Carnival’s kids’ menu also offers the same items every night.

Does Carnival need a bigger daily menu?

Heald shared a customer request asking for spinach to be made available as a side dish. To be fair, he wasn’t too keen on the idea; he called spinach a “blob of leaves that taste like sod,” and based on some of the most liked comments on Heald’s post, most cruisers wouldn’t be too keen on it. neither does daily spinach.

However, the idea of adding some cruiser favorites to the daily menu is certainly an intriguing one.

Not everyone wants to see the same things on the menu every night on a cruise. But many commenters liked the idea that certain classic entrees and sides would be available every night, in many cases as a backup option when no other items on the menu seem appealing.

After all, with the recent menu revisions, the newer options tend to be more exotic dishes that may not appeal to non-adventurous eaters.

This is the one item cruisers want to see on the menu every night

Heald asked a follow-up question to find out which items from Carnival’s dinner menu the cruisers would like to see available each night. More than 2,000 people responded, and there were some very popular responses.

The most common answer by far was that grilled salmon should be an every-night option. Carnival used to serve salmon every night, but that’s no longer the case, so it’s an entree that many frequent cruisers understandably miss.

One commenter said: “This used to be my favorite thing to do when nothing else on the menu surprised me. Please bring it back.” Interestingly, more than half of the answers to Heald’s question had to do with bringing a salmon dish every night.

To be clear, it remains to be seen whether anything will come of the answers to Heald’s question. However, he does have a solid history of relaying popular requests to “The Beards,” as he calls Carnival’s management team, and that has occasionally led to significant changes. And in a separate post, Heald revealed that he recently made sure high society was aware that salmon was a popular daily menu request.
