Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis takes steps toward return

The Tennessee titans are starting to prepare for their Week 9 matchup against the New England Patriots, and they could see the return of the second-year quarterback Will Levis.

Levis, 25, has missed the past two games due to a shoulder injury. During that time, Levis did not hope that rest would allow the injury to heal. However, that was not the case during the first training of the week.

‘Titans QB Will Levis threw today unlike previous weeks’ ESPN insider Turron Davenport tweeted. “Make of it what you will, but he was at the front of the line when the QBs were about to throw.”

While this isn’t a guarantee that Levis will be available on Sunday, it is a sign of progress that he is heading in the right direction.

Coach Brian Callahan spoke about Levis and the possibility of his return at his pre-practice press conference.

“We’ll try to get a sense of where he’s at after some rest, see how he feels throwing the ball, see how it looks.” Callahan said through team reporter Jim Wyatt. “The most important thing for Will right now is throwing not just today, but Thursday and Friday, days in a row, to see how that goes. If he’s feeling good and looking forward to it, we’ll step up (his throwing).” up and see where he is.”

The Titans will evaluate Levis and see how he feels today before likely returning to training on Thursday and Friday. If Levis is ready to hit the ground running after all that work, there’s a good chance he’ll take back his spot under center and return for the Titans when they take on the Patriots in Week 9.
