Memphis Grizzlies Star Suffers Injury Against Brooklyn Nets

The Memphis Grizzlies have a strong, well-rounded roster that is more than capable of making the playoffs. That is, if they can stay healthy. In recent history they have failed to do so, and it has been their greatest downfall.

With Ja Morant speaking for the club, they have the opportunity to win a game every night. However, its supporting cast keeps them competitive over the course of a season. During a Wednesday night fight against the Brooklyn Nets, two Grizzlies guards suffered injuries that forced them out of the game.

According to the team, Desmond Bane will be out for the rest of the game with an oblique injury.

Before Bane’s injury, Marcus Smart also suffered an ankle injury, which also took him out of the match. The two guards are important in the Grizzlies’ rotations and are important parts of what the team is building.

Memphis won more than 50 games in consecutive seasons, although they posted a 27-55 record a season ago. The reason? Injuries. In the beginning, the club again has to deal with important injuries.

The Grizzlies play a close game in the third quarter and look to eliminate the Nets to improve their 2-2 record in four games.
