The former Brisbane Broncos star, 30, and his wife Tegan bought the 9560sqm rural property in 2019 for $880,000.

Completed in 2021, the ultra-modern home is located in Samford Valley, approximately 45 minutes northwest of Brisbane.

No price has been listed for the sprawling estate, which features six bedrooms and three bathrooms.

However, sales agents for the property estimate that the average price for comparable homes in the area is $1,850,000.

It comes after Oates shocked fans when he announced he would be leaving the field for good earlier this month.

Oates played his entire NRL career with the Broncos, making his debut in 2013.

He scored a try in the club’s 2015 grand final loss to North Queensland and was the last player from that team to remain with the Broncos.

Throughout his career, Oates made nine State of Origin appearances for Queensland, including in their series wins in 2016, 2017 and 2022.

He also served as the 18th man for the Broncos during their 2023 grand final loss to Penrith.

In December last year, the Courier Mail reported that Oates had made significant property investments over the past five years.

In addition to his acreage in Samford Valley, he bought a flat in Everton Park, Brisbane, in 2017 for $610,000, and in the same year he acquired a house in Ipswich for $190,000.
