Richard Simmons’ brother fights back in battle over his assets, saying ‘this lawsuit is completely against his values’

Richard Simmons’ family apparently has the final say against his former house manager, Teresa Reveles, while his brother, Lenny Simmons, has broken his silence on the estate battle. Recently, Reveles, who worked as Simmons‘house manager until his death, filed a restraining order against the family.

She claimed that she was forced to relinquish her position as ‘co-administrator’ of the estate. This has drawn a response from the late fitness icon’s brother, Lenny.

Speaking to People magazine on October 30, Lenny, who recently lost his brother, broke his silence and said he wants to be the guardian of his brother’s name and legacy. He said: “I am solely interested in protecting and preserving my brother’s legacy.”

Reveles’ petition alleged that immediately after Simmons’ death, Lenny participated in the planning, promotion and execution of “evil” schemes related to his finances. Since she is not a native English speaker, it was difficult for her to understand what she was signing. Additionally, Reveles alleged that Lenny conspired with Michael Catalano, who was the late fitness guru’s manager for many years.

Lenny stated, “We have filed papers with the court detailing and refuting what Teresa has alleged.” He also defended Catalano in his statement, arguing that the criticism of him was unwarranted because he had always been a true friend and manager to Simmons.

Lenny added: “Michael worked tirelessly for Richard throughout his life, often without compensation, and continues to do so even after his death. “It’s a shame that Teresa is trying to tarnish his reputation and damage his career.”

Reveles claimed that after Simmons’ funeral, his wife immediately took Lenny and Cathy to a meeting where they wanted to discuss issues regarding Simmons’ finances. However, Lenny told the outlet that in his lawsuit he laid out all the reasons why he denied her request to serve as co-trustee of his late brother’s estate.

The fitness icon was discovered unconscious on the floor of his house by Reveles on July 13. He died at the age of 76 as a result of “blunt traumatic injuries” during his fatal fall.

Lenny concluded his statement by revealing his expectations that the lawsuit would be concluded quickly, claiming, “This lawsuit, which I did not initiate, is completely contrary to his beliefs and values.” He wants the world to remember the good things that his late brother, Richard Simmons, always embodied: smiling, being kind and being positive.
