The 28th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is working with ROCIC

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE OFFICE OF ATTORNEY GENERAL FREDERICK H. AGEE:

The District Attorney’s Office for the 28e Judicial district is proud to announce its membership in the Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC) and the Regional Information Sharing Systems Program (RISS)!

Developed from the professional experience of more than 50 years of trusted national law enforcement agencies, ROCIC and RISS provide secure information sharing and communications capabilities, critical analytical and investigative support services, and event deconfliction to enhance officer safety. This program supports local law enforcement and prosecutors with specialized investigative and evidentiary resources from the beginning of an investigation through the end of the prosecution.

ROCIC and RISS support targeted efforts against violent crime, organized crime and gang activity, illegal drug distribution, terrorism, human trafficking, identity theft, cybercrime and other regional priorities.

“Our office is honored to be approved for membership in this meritorious program, which provides valuable investigative and case support resources for our local law enforcement and for our ultimate prosecution of violent crimes in our district. We will continue to modernize our office to provide the people of Crockett, Gibson and Haywood counties with exceptional service in the execution of our duties. We thank the professional staff at ROCIC and RISS for their collaboration with our agency during the approval process and our in-house investigator Jimmy Wilson for his dedicated efforts to achieve that approval.”
– Frederick H. Agee, District Attorney
