Melbourne Cup 2024: Australia’s richest racehorses revealed

You’d think winning Australia’s richest horse race would guarantee your place in horse racing. But Bella Nipotina’s courageous victory in last month’s $20 million The Everest didn’t catapult her into racing’s version of the rich list.

The seven-year-old mare has won four Group 1 races and a whopping $18.8 million in prize money, most of which was collected at The Everest. She now sits third on the list of all-time prize money winners, behind Winx but well ahead of undefeated legend Black Caviar.
