Burglary in Chicago: Lincoln Park Mr. Submarine on Fullerton, MONEYGUN on Lake in West Loop split 20 minutes apart, CPD says

CHICAGO (WLS) — Two people broke into a Mr. Submarine in Lincoln Park, making off with cash and two cash registers.

The suspects broke the front glass door in the 1500 block of West Fullerton Avenue around 3:10 a.m., Chicago police said.

Investigators said the suspects fled in a waiting car with two others inside.

The cash registers were recovered a short time later.

No one was arrested on Thursday. Area Three detectives are investigating.

Just 20 minutes later, thieves entered the MONEYGUN bar in the 600 block of West Lake Street in the West Loop.

Several people entered, but it is unclear whether they took anything.

No one is in custody and Area Three detectives are investigating.

The Ricobene is in Bridgeport was also robbed just after 2:30 a.m., police said.

Police have not said whether the crimes are related.
