FBI home of pastor linked to Mica Miller investigation

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF/Gray News) – Federal authorities were at the home of a pastor involved in the investigation into the death of his estranged wife.

FBI spokesman Kevin Wheeler confirmed they are conducting an authorized search of John-Paul Miller’s home on Coldwater Circle in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

John-Paul Miller is pastor of Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach.

The death of John-Paul Miller’s estranged wife, Mica Miller, received national attention earlier this year.

Her body was found on April 27 at Lumber River State Park in Orrum, North Carolina, after someone reported to 911 that they had found a body in the water.

Earlier that day, a woman called 911 and asked to have her phone located because she was going to commit suicide and wanted her family to find her body.

During the conversation, the woman hung up and the control room was no longer able to contact the woman.

Once recovered, the body was identified as Mica Miller.

Her death was ruled a suicide following an investigation.

Investigators had found evidence that she had purchased the gun found near her body that day and had searched Google for parks near her.

Mica Miller and John-Paul Miller had reportedly split before her death.

Robeson County investigators confirmed that John Paul Miller was at an athletic event in Charleston on the day of her death.
