Gov. Pritzker ‘fairly confident’ ahead of Election Day

SPRINGFIELD (WGEM en 25News Now) – Despite his efforts to help elect Vice President Kamala Harris (D), Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (D) admits he doesn’t know exactly what will happen on November 5.

Pritzker said this week that Democrats have tremendous enthusiasm and motivation to vote after seeing it firsthand during a recent campaign trip to Wisconsin. While he admits the race is close, he also said he is “fairly confident” heading into Election Day.

“You look at the polls and it’s one or two points for these candidates,” Pritzker said. “And I think in that case the Democrats are most likely to win because, quite frankly, we’re the ones knocking on the door, we’re the ones typically calling, and this goes for all the battleground states, we have a better organization than the Republicans.”

Pritzker isn’t done campaigning for Harris yet. A spokesperson for his campaign confirmed that he will travel to North Carolina on Saturday to steamroll for her.
