Home “appears to be a total loss” after early morning fire in Grand Haven

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. – Crews extinguished a serious house fire in Grand Haven early Saturday morning.

Just before 2 a.m., the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety was called to a fire at a home on North Shore Drive near Crosstown Lane. When they arrived, they found the house completely engulfed in flames.

Crews were assisted by several other agencies as they battled the fire for hours. Ultimately, GHPS says the home appeared to be a total loss, although no one was injured and damage was limited to the building.

We do not yet know the cause of the fire and GHPS says it is under investigation.
