Everyone is saying the same thing after England’s painful loss

England head coach Steve Borthwick faced intense criticism after a narrow 24-22 defeat New Zealand at the Allianz Stadium, with many questioning his decision to replace the fly-half Marcus Smith of George Ford late in the game.

Ford’s introduction proved costly as he lacked a one-on-one tackle Mark Telea when he scored a crucial try before failing to convert two late chances to secure victory with two kicks on goal.

England had fought hard to keep up with the All blacks but Telea’s second try shifted the momentum in New Zealand’s favour.

Smith’s support for the entire 80s? Support the man, he is classy and should not have been taken off the field.’

Rugby podcaster Mike Cooper wrote: “Well, England slaughtered that one in the right way.
