Port of Dover: Car fire and multi-vehicle accident closes A2

A busy road near the Port of Dover was closed overnight after a fire caused by a multi-vehicle crash damaged the road.

The A2 Jubilee Way was closed in both directions on Saturday as firefighters worked to resurface the road due to damage from the collision and fire.

According to National Highways, the closures are expected to last until Sunday and motorists are being diverted onto local routes.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 15:25 GMT and confirmed that there were no injuries and that the fire had been extinguished.
