(FOX40.COM) – Several law enforcement agencies in Northern California have worked together to arrest 15 people accused of selling fentanyl and other dangerous drugs in the area.

From November 1 to 2, Folsom police led an undercover operation called “Folsom Blues” to bust suspected drug dealers. Law enforcement officials said they used marketplaces and social media applications to arrange “narcotic transactions.” Those who came to a meeting location for the sale of drugs were arrested.

FPD said all detainees received the Watson Advisory, which formally warned the alleged drug dealers of the dangers of fentanyl and informed them that they could be charged with murder if they sold drugs containing fentanyl to someone and that person died as a result .

Some detainees remain in custody, but FPD says most have been released on bail or on their own recognizance.
